Welcome to Castle Hayne, Rocky Point, and Burgaw
Close-knit communities with a rural, quaint, country lifestyle surrounded by peaceful scenery
Just north of Wilmington, Castle Hayne, Rocky Point, and Burgaw are small towns perfect for those who want to stay away from the crowded tourist destinations of the Carolina coast. Castle Hayne and Rocky Point, especially, contain more green spaces than any other part of the county. Horseback riders will love the network of equestrian trails, which adds to the community’s appeal in the Southern country.
Burgaw is nestled in the heart of Pender County. It features well-preserved and postcard-perfect historic structures such as Historic Downtown Burgaw and The Burgaw Depot, the oldest railroad depot in North Carolina. Surrounded by beautiful natural scenery, it’s often used as a backdrop to films and TV shows. “Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood” and “Under the Dome” were filmed here.
